We want everyone to be able to use this website. This statement explains what we do to make that possible and what to do if you experience any difficulties.
1. Our commitment
Strive Charity is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
This website is managed by Strive Creative on behalf of Strive Charity. We actively review and improve accessibility as the site is updated.
2. What we do
We have built this website with accessibility in mind throughout. Here's what that means in practice:
High contrast
Text and background colours meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios throughout.
Resizable text
All text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
Keyboard navigation
Every interactive element is reachable and operable using a keyboard alone.
Alt text
All meaningful images have descriptive alt text for screen reader users.
Plain English
We write in plain, clear language and avoid jargon wherever possible.
Visible labels
All form fields have visible labels — we never rely on placeholder text alone.
Focus rings
Keyboard focus is always clearly visible with a high-contrast focus outline.
Reduced motion
Animations are disabled automatically for users who have set a reduced motion preference.
We also test the site at 320px viewport width and at 200% zoom to ensure the layout holds at extremes.
3. Known issues
We are not aware of any significant accessibility issues at the time of writing. This statement will be updated if any are identified during testing or reported by users.
Some third-party content embedded in this site — including the Stripe payment form and the Iubenda cookie banner — is outside our direct control. We have chosen these providers partly because of their own accessibility commitments.
